Maybe by today's standard they sound pedestrian to you, but Los Angeles, Wild Gift and Under The Big Black Sun were great LP's. ^ This. More Fun in the New World is great too. Four incredible albums and then John Doe and Exene got divorced, Billy Zoom left the band and X's sound became much more 'mainstream' ... and dull. They probably should've quit while they were ahead instead of dragging it out to the end of the decade. Nevertheless, they were one of the great bands of the early 80's punk scene.
