Why? Its not like their Superman or Batman are anything special.

They're Superman and Batman. They are the main players in the comics, cartoons, movies, and video games. The Justice League would be nothing without them.

I like the new Batman. I think we're going to get an explanation for why he kills, and it won't be pretty. I'm torn on Superman (you know my thoughts).

Regardless, they still have time to make amends if you're not happy. We're four movies into a franchise that is aiming for 20+ as Marvel did.

A genuine question here: if Man of Steel 2 is a success and portrays Superman exactly how you would like, will you admit it? Or if Reeves' Batman does the same? In other words, are you rooting for the DCEU to succeed eventually or do you want it to fail?

Those are just questions. I'm not trying to be sarcastic. I'm not trying to be an asshole. I just wanna know your thoughts.
