Same with the X-Men movies. They survived due to no one knowing better. They survived and stil remembered as some of the best comic films produced. The likes of Antman and Dr Strange have nothing on the 2000s X films, other than visuals. No, that's just the nostalgia acting as a shield. Put X1 or X2 out in today's environment and they wouldn't do as well, mainly for their cowardly way of telling their stories. |
