you should also start a season long thread on F1, Fury! I have to admit here that against general opinion I am a fan of Hamilton. Cool season so far but I have a feeling that Hamilton may start moving ahead of the pack by the end. I actually switched off once the safety car went away after a few laps, nothing was happening. Tuned in near the end again and couldnt believe Hamilton let/was ordered to leave Bottas pass him. Hope Hamilton loses outright by 1 or 2 points now.  Will bump this again in a few weeks time if theres no F1 thread Well that was the ethical thing to do though they should have ordered Bottas to let Hamilton overtake him 7 or 8 laps earlier. He was losing time and not letting Hamilton catch up to the Ferrari. There were 3 or 4 laps when Vettel had steering problem and Hamilton should have been let to pass Bottas then. The reason why Bottas was let to pass Hamilton is that Bottas is still pretty much in the running for championship on his own. Initially Hamilton was given about 7 or 8 laps to take the lead or he was to surrender his position to Bottas then. Don't know why he surrendered in last seconds. You can just keep editing the topic title of this thread or permanently edit it to Formula one season 2017  |
