I noticed that too. I haven't posted much, but the first time I did, someone replied in an snarky tone. I felt like I was back on the other board. For some reason, I had the feeling that this board would be different. I don't know why. Probably all of the trolls from there migrated over here. Overall, this board is different. The politics area is much the same, including politics seeming to want to migrate from forum to forum, I mean from threads in one area to those in another. Some members seem to think the entire board is a politics board and they cannot not bash Trump. Oops, here we go. It's a shame for any message board when a newcomer is treated rudely. What's worked in the past, on a message board I've been familiar with, is in such a case that current members then set the rude person straight. Because a message board should always welcome new members, not repel them. Members of a message board should repel its rude members. One of my pet peeves is always a rude member treating a newbie rudely. Yes, it's great when another poster comes to your defense...but when I signed up here, "Silent Siren" was already a big dog on the block, with posts just kissing the magical 500 mark. She had more posts that the administrators! So, she was shown a certain deference by other members. But with me, I irked her, and she turned both barrels on me, firing continuously. Only when someone else joined in (who shall remain nameless, but he's still on the board) did I actually complain to an administrator. I didn't want the woman removed, I just wanted her to tone it down. Instead, she left!
