Claire Forlani was thought to be part of Hollywood's next A-list in the late 90's after Meet Joe Black, her appearance in Mystery Men the following year was small but was made more prominent by the media -- However, the movie underperformed big time at the box office. The following year she was one of the leads in Boys and Girls with then it guy Freddie Prinze Jr. which also struggled at the box office and did very poor with critics. 2001's Anti-Trust also didn't do too hot either where she was also one of the leads. In 2003, she was Jackie Chan's co-star in The Medallion, which not only met terrible word of the mouth but also only opened at no. 5 at the box office on opening weekend in the U.S. Since then, her career's been pretty, well, 'diverse' is probably the best word to use here, from guest appearances on CSI: NY, NCIS: LA, Hawaii Five-O to one of the leads in Starz's Camelot series, being the love interest in an Uwe Boll film( In the Name of the King), and even beer commercials using a different accent. I recall hearing that a TV series was in the works with her as one of the leads opposite of Adewale Akinnuoye-Agbaje with Natalie Portman in a producing role but nothing ever came of an announcement. I used to have a bit of a crush on Claire Forlani growing up. She was a real beauty. Shame about her career. I wish her role in The Rock would've been larger. I recall reading that she tried out for, and almost got, the part of "Rose" from Titanic, can only imagine where her career would've gone had she got that part.
