I don't know why, but for a while people were calling for Armie Hammer to be the next Batman. I'm not even sure what that was based on, because he hasn't had much for career at all, let alone a successful one. George Miller's Justice League movie that was scrapped a few days before filming began had Hammer as Batman. So people wanted him to play Batman in 2016, not because of his resume, but because he was supposed to play in in 2009? That's not exactly a ringing endorsement of his talent. Does anyone know if the timeline for all this is correct? I'm only asking because 2009 is a year after The Dark Knight and I have a hard time believing DC/Warner Bros. was considering making a completely separate Batman, because it wasn't, knowledge Christopher Nolan was doing a trilogy?
