So people wanted him to play Batman in 2016, not because of his resume, but because he was supposed to play in in 2009? That's not exactly a ringing endorsement of his talent. Does anyone know if the timeline for all this is correct? I'm only asking because 2009 is a year after The Dark Knight and I have a hard time believing DC/Warner Bros. was considering making a completely separate Batman, because it wasn't, knowledge Christopher Nolan was doing a trilogy? www.denofgeek.com/us/movies/justice-league/246346/justice-league-mortal-the-dc-superhero-movie-you-never-sawFor some reason they did want another Batman. I'm not sure how they would've explained it to the fans, but they were going to do it. Armie Hammer was a choice by the fans in 2016 because they wanted to see what he could've been. The studio was never really into him, though, as they wanted someone in their middle ages. Wikipedia says 2009this article says 2007. I'm having even a harder time believing this now. There's no way they were actively working on the Justice League movie, with an entirely separate Batman, while Christopher Nolan was in the midst of his trilogy.
