Wikipedia says 2009this article says 2007. I'm having even a harder time believing this now. There's no way they were actively working on the Justice League movie, with an entirely separate Batman, while Christopher Nolan was in the midst of his trilogy. Well it's not necessarily logical, but it was going to happen. Another article I read (but I can't find again for some reason) said that they were going to just say that Hammer was Bale's Batman. They were going to just kind of gloss over it. What's even more surprising is that the movie wasn't even canceled because it didn't make sense, it was canceled (mainly) because of scheduling conflicts.
