I know, I was just clarifying what our take here has been. We try to walk the fine line between too much moderation and too little. It's not easy and we won't please everybody, but we try.

So far, I'm impressed at the job the mods have been doing here. For 9 1/2 years I was a member at another message board and there saw what it takes to do what I think was good moderation. This site is very young, yet it is thriving. This can only happen via the efforts behind the scenes of those managing and moderating things well.

Other than porn and other necessarily, strictly controlled posts I think the main aspect of message boards which demand moderation is the political threads. So far, I think things have been going as well as possible here, especially considering the political atmosphere in the country nowadays. I think this is due to the wisdom and restraint mods have been using to help us misfits, malcontents, basement-dwellers, mutants, and all other indecents control ourselves.

I'm sure I couldn't be a message board moderator; I'm too indecent. I need supervision.
