All scenes mentioned above are great, the pacing is terrific. I'll add two more. -Opening, Helicopter chase to research station mayhem. The guys all standing outside watching, clueless, until they start getting shot and blown up. -Wilford Brimley running his simulation through the 1980 3MHZ Pentium. It tied in the opening, ending and hid Brimley as a likely infected suspect for most of the film. If the creature reaches open population, humans will be wiped out in days. we got that in about 30 secs, not 10 minutes of characters yapping about it. Again, great pacing. If I may ask you this.....What did you think of the 2011 Prequel to "John Carpenter's THE THING" ?
