I'm not sure you can say he tried the geek approach is one of his characters, who was attempting to disguise himself, wore glasses for five minutes. He was good enough in Cobra that this guy should've had a bigger career. He's a working actor, which is great for him, but this dude should've been the villain in so many action movies. He was wasted so much in Lionheart. My bad attempt of making a an ever bader joke, but it is probably the only scene of him that I can remember wearing the classic "geek" glasses, and still a guy like Thompson would stick out like a sore thumb, everytime. Was about to mention Lionheart earlier, pretty damn solid Van Damme flick by the way, but yeah, I was very disappointed that a bad ass villain, or what seemed to be the main heavy henchman portrayed by Brian, was just wasted like that. A shame, because throughout the film, I remember him and Van Damme had a bit of going, and hoped that it would lead up to a good fight, instead all I can remember is Van Damme throwing a kick at Thompson while he sits with the audience, and that was it. My bad, I didn't realize you were kidding. Those glasses did make him look psychotic. I think they make him look nuts because it looks like his character is trying to wear them as a disguise, but they can't contain the crazy. He looks like he's bursting at the seams and is completely failing and trying to look normal. I like that movie, but I do remember being disappointed he didn't have a face-off within Van Damme. I think I recognized him from Cobra the first time I saw it and simply assumed he would be some kind of goon or henchman. I remember him from those two movies, the X-Files, and an episode or two of Buffy, but this guy should have had a bigger career as a movie villain.
