Was about to post the same. I think I played soccer like 99% of American kids growing up - I just never gravitated towards it on TV. Just find it very dull and boring. We all have different tastes and interests. Hear so much about a 'Rinaldo' and previously Beckham. I don't get it - but again - to each their own - we all have different tastes. Even on the rare occasions I watch some golf at a friends house they move the camera's to show long putts being made and other excellent shots. Soccer is mainly constant running and flopping. I just don't get how that excites certain people to the point of violence. Golf is another sport I just don't 'get'. Have posted on it previously and usually get tarred and feathered but so be it. Maybe because I sucked at it - so I'd rather spend my time going to the batting cages or hitting a heavy bag. I've bartended at Country Clubs and was just astounded by the the clientele - grown old men in bad clothes concerned about a 'Ricky' and 'Lefty' as if their son was dying of cancer - I was 'written up' and spoken too more than once on a Saturday or Sunday for having college football or pro football on the TV as opposed to Golf. You'd then watch this balding overweight fat guy in hideous ridiculous flamingo pink polo attire who just cried to my GM that the 'Buick Open' wasn't on - shove beer nuts down his mouth as he's watching somebody putt on the TV as if the fate of mankind rests on him missing it or making it.
