Van Poppel was highly rated coming out of HS. Consensus #1 pick but he wanted a King's Ransom. The Braves had the #1 overall, passed on TVP and took a signable HS SS, Larry Jones, aka Chipper.
Mandarich was the greatest OL coming out of Michigan State. But he couldn't juice in the NFL. Next three picks, Barry Sanders, Derrick Thomas, Deion Sanders.
Jefferies had a respectable career but he was bred from the cradle to be a HOF player.
Adu was called "The Next Pele" at age 14. Who the hell could live up to shit like that?
JaMarcus was a reach. Never was that good, even at LSU
