Elaborate on what? Full Metal Jacket's themes? Bergman's? His career? Explaining these movies would be quite a job and it's not something that one should do anyway. The whole point of using metaphors, symbolism etc is to let the audience discover its themes and ideas themselves. Explaining a piece of art would reduce it to a schoolbook that's simply ought to be learned.
