Another thing, whenever a BLM member kills a cop or a Muslim blows up a building, we are told by the media and the left to not judge an entire people by the actions of a few. Fair enough. One racist murderer voted for Trump and all Trump voters are violent racists. Do you even see the problem here?
Unemployment is at a record low, the stock market is at a record high, and the economy is having a huge bounce back. Nothing from anyone. No mention of this on the news. All we get is 24/7 Trump bashing. It would be hilarious if it wasn't so sad.
The middle part you wrote (in italics), I actually agree with the first part of what you said, one of the left's biggest problems was that they refused to acknowledge acts of radical terrorism as what they were (even though the right takes the exact opposite position and it gets them tons of votes - that all muslims are radicals terrorists, which leads me to the next part). Nobody says that all Trump voters are violent racists. This is a completely false narrative. One of my closest friends at work is probably the smartest guy I know. Erudite and extremely well-read, he voted for Trump but because he's a dyed-in-the-wool Republican. He's not a racist at all, and he's long since denounced Trump and says he'll vote for a D over Trump in the next election, even it means compromising some of his core Republican beliefs. I know tons of non-racists like this who vote R for one reason or another. However, it is worth noting that all KKK members, neo-Nazis and other Jew/black/gay/woman/other hating people tend to be Trump voters.
But the issue here is not the condemning of violence, so you're mixing apples and oranges. Nobody is calling on Trump or the right to condemn violence, that part is obvious. It's when David Duke, the KKK and Nazi groups say things like "Jew will not replace us," "Jews belong in the ovens," something about faggots I don't remember exactly what (yes, there was video of all chants) and then they openly say that they are fulfilling Trump's vision of America, Trump should quickly distance himself from that, and instead he doesn't. Instead, he immediately fires off tweets like a 9-year old about a CEO who leaves his jobs council, but takes two days to even acknowledge what's going on at a national level. THAT'S the issue. Even prominent Republicans have an issue with it. It's the exact opposite of what a president should be doing.
This isn't even a 1st Amendment thing. You went to law school, so you know that what these people are chanting and what they are spouting as their beliefs is not actually protected free speech, no matter much they like to claim that it is. You can believe what you want, you can (generally speaking) say what you want, but you can't advocate for, or openly promote, hate speech or hate groups. Sure, BLM has done some violent things in the last, what, 1 year? The KKK has how many centuries worth of murders, terrorism, extortion, corruption, and how many other crimes going for it? How many millions of people did the Nazis arbitrarily murder? BLM just doesn't want black people to be treated like animals and they'll go away. The KKK and Nazis want all blacks, Jews, women, gays and whoever else to be off this planet and they still won't go away.
As for the last part (underlined), that gets talked about every single day in the news, as it's part of the national discussion, although I'm not sure why it should be mentioned as something positive for Trump. None of his economic or tax policies have taken effect yet. They are merely a continuation of the policies and trends we've had for the past 8 years. But I can see how people on the right can make this mistake. 8 years ago, you couldn't watch Fox News for 30 seconds without them mentioning how Obama stole everyone's tax dollars to bail out the banks. Problem is that while the bailout itself happened under Obama, the law that caused the bailout (TARP) was signed by Dubya in October, 2008.
We can have a discussion as to what will happen when his economic and tax policies do take effect. There will be some good and some bad as there always is. I'm sure we wouldn't see eye to eye on it so it could make for a beneficial discussion for us all.
