it's the media fueling people's confirmation bias. esp. as all they have heard is trump is hitler, blah, blah, blah, from (wapo, ny times, cnn, bbc, etc) for 2 years now, so of course, that's what they 'see'. if you want to understand confirmation bias, read a book, say on wild flowers, read that book on wild flowers for 20 min. a day for a month. i guarantee you'll start to 'see' more wildflowers about 2 weeks into the daily reading, That is absurd. OK, so because you've read a book about wildflowers, you suddenly see more wildflowers. Uhh, that doesn't change the fact that those wildflowers were there the whole time. Point being, you say confirmation bias makes people see Trump is an imbecile, racist, habitual liar, etc... I say that doesn't mean he wasn't always that the whole time. As a New Yorker we noted those things decades ago about Trump. Now 300 million fellow countrymen are seeing what was already always there.
