That would've been the only fair punishment since Brady cheated in an AFC Championship Game to advance to that Super Bowl so Brady should've been suspended for that Super Bowl, not for 4 meaningless regular season games, which is nothing more than a slap on the wrist for cheating in a Conference Championship Game.
Ted Wells can't be bought. Even Robert Kraft praised Wells for his integrity when Wells was hired to conduct the investigation. It was only after Wells came back with findings that Kraft didn't like that Kraft and Brady's lawyers dragged Wells' name and reputation through the mud.
It wasn't a false accusation and Professor Marlow (a Physics professor and former Chairman of the Department of Physics at Princeton University confirmed that weather alone couldn't have caused all the deflation in the Patriots footballs and that the deflation had to be caused by a combination of weather AND human tampering.
