Understandable since UK comedy is all about cross dressing and silly slapstick and awkwardness. I shall ignore the scurrilous and inaccurate snipe and say it probably has more to do with a) his comedy probably being mostly topical to an American audience only b) never having a big TV or film career (Saturday Night Live was hardly ever shown in the UK but most of their players with later careers are well known here) c) having no concert videos released or shown here d) never, as far as I know, touring the UK - Bill Hicks did and was successful in the UK before the US and probably more popular in the UK than he was in the US. No snipe intended or scurry either. Basing it off monty python, mr bean, the office etc... Tried some newer stuff like russel brand as well. He's ok but not that funny imo. The pythons are great but not a huge fan of rowan atinson, british office, IT Crowd etc... although I have given a lot of it a fair shot. I did enjoy The Ricky Gervais animated show oddly enough. Bill Hicks was awesome though.
