He's going to be more seasoned (and look older) when he'd be potentially playing the role. He looks too young now, and I don't care for depressed Superman. If he was made-up to look his actual age when playing the role, I think it would work. While as I said above, Connery is Bond to me, I think Brosnan's Bond came across very believable in the age department. Give Henry a couple wrinkles (that he probably has without the Superman makeup) and I think it changes the game.
Like Daniel Craig, whom I first saw in "Layer Cake" before hearing he was going to take on 007, I'd like to see Cavill in a couple of non-Superman roles first. I really dislike how Superman is written in all the movies since Cavill jumped in, but I do tend to think he's doing the best with what they gave him and he's not phoning it in.
@weirdraptor I'm with you. I want a fun Bond again. There is a snarky humor once in a while that comes through in even depressed Superman that gives me hope he could pull it off. Then again, Daniel Craig has good comedic timing as well...in scenes that employ comedy...which are severely lacking in modern 007. For whatever reason, they write Craig's Bond to be way too gloomy. He seems melancholy even in the middle of having a great time with some fantastic looking women. I think his Bond suffers from misguided writing. Understood on fleshing out the backstory, but I want shiny cars and shit eating grins again for a while.
