Why such the great need to recycle, remake, and reboot? There have been dozens, if not hundreds of great spy novels/series written since Fleming's books. Most of the Bond movies had nothing to do with the original books other than stealing the title and character.
Why not do something new and original? I realize I would never make it in Hollywood with such radical and heretic thinking.
"James Bond" is a known brand name that is thought will always bring in the numbers on name recognition alone.
Just remember what happened when they tried to make "New Coke".
