I watched it with friends who had both glasses and a welder's helmet; interesting, the welder's helmet turned it green! One of their friends stopped by, and after the event, we were talking about the next one - in 2045? I think - and this other guy started talking about biblical end-times crap, and my friend and I beat a hasty retreat, went to her house down the road and had some margaritas. We took photos of the shadows on her stone patio and had a blast! I almost asked that other guy if he knew about Niburu, but decided against it ;-) I was downtown... the sky was almost completely clouded over but people by the hundreds still stood there craning their necks in cardboard glasses for a while. It was sort of a surreal sight. Well, rats, too bad about your cloud cover. We had it this morning but it was gone by the time of the eclipse. I was out in the country. LOL, there were highway signs a few days ago, warning that the eclipse was coming and traffic might be disrupted, and that we should use our headlights! Oh, no, the sky is falling, the sky is falling! |
