For me, what sucks the most is losing the obscure boards backlogged with a decade-plus full of posts about things. So if I watch a random, throwaway movie from 1997 I can read various comments and threads that've piled up over the years from people posting about it there. Not sure how to scratch that itch now, especially when I've just seen something strange or evocative or interesting -- for instance, I just watched the Twin Peaks movie, Fire Walk with Me, the other night -- and want to see how others reacted to it. Obviously we can't make boards here for every single movie, show, etc.; seems that aspect of the "IMDb" experience will be lost forever. I agree. I used to visit the boards of just about everything I watch. That's the real tragedy of IMDb, all the lost in-depth discussion about TV and film.
