Anything you put out there for the public to digest is an announcement when you're in the showbiz. If he's so incompetent at public speaking, he shouldn't take part in unscripted events.

Everyone has their blunders. I don't see how that indicates an exceptional level of incompetence of Reeves' part. The comment was made a month ago and no one thought anything of it at the time. The only reason people started taking it out of context was because of the news about a Joker movie not connected to the DCEU.
