I did not bother with the movies (chances are they are not good) but the anime here... Death Note (2006-2007) is a quality show.
i normally avoid animated stuff but that's one of the exceptions. but i will say that i have seen that three times and it's dropped off in score with each viewing. currently it's a 7/10 as of June-Aug 2016 viewing which is my most recent. prior to that my second viewing was Feb 2012 and my initial viewing was back around the time it was new as i remember waiting for the new episodes to appear online back at that time. some random person brought it to my attention online back at that time.
p.s. i got and viewed it in Japanese audio(like spoken language) with English subs.
