People these days are aware what is and what isn't MCU, I cannot for the life of me recall anybody asking where were The Avengers in Logan on any website I've ever visited talking about it.
Here's a thread where an Patriots' fan shadyvsesham thinks that Logan is part of MCU:

The idiot even wrote on July 29: "Logan isnt MCU? I swore Wolverine was a part of MCU."
So there are people who make no distinction between the Marvel movies produced by Fox and the Marvel movies produced by MCU. Both have a "Marvel" logo screen at the beginning of the movie so they consider them all to be Marvel. So having 2 different Quicksilvers in Marvel movies would definitely confuse a lot of people.
