It's not so much as being fired for cheating on his wife, but being fired over the controversy of being a "fake" feminist. The insane amount of hatred towards him from the feminist community. He's set to write and direct a comic book film starring a female lead. He's currently being blasted as a misogynist and a scumbag by even his own inner social group.
I don't think they got over the Wonder Woman thing with him.
