But the GOTG franchise has little to do with what's going on in the MCU, in fact, it's more like its own thing out of all the MCU sub-series. And of you hate "shared universes", why do you love the DCEU? What? Haven't you heard? Everything the DCEU does is great! Because of OH, THE EDGE! MELLO MUST BE ABLE TO CUT HIMSELF WITH IT BEFORE HE IS SATISFIED! But everything the MCU does, with its sense of adventure, its use of color, keeping characters in-character, and actually allowing audiences to talk out not feeling depressed? That's ALL wrong! Everything the MCU does is wrong, man! I mean, who wants to have fun at a superhero movie? We gotta make everything symbolic of Christ getting crucified, make sure all the colors are dark and muted, and everyone has to scowl, grunt, and wallow in self-pity for the ENTIRE THREE HOUR running time! Who has time for conversational dialogue and the occasional joke when you can have everyone stand in awe at how IMPORTANT EVERYTHING IS! THIS IS IMPROTANT, DAMN IT! STARE AT THE PERMANENTLY CLOUDED OVER DARK SKIES AND SOAK IN HOW IMPORTANT THIS ALL THIS!
