Why does it matter who announced their movie first? Well, MCU fans always claim that MCU created the first shared cinematic universe in the history of movies, which isn't accurate. MCU not only didn't create the first shared cinematic universe in the history of movies, they didn't even create the 1st shared cinematic universe of superhero movies. DC created the 1st shared cinematic universe of superhero movies about a quarter century before MCU ever existed.
I'm always unbiased and fair so I will give Marvel credit for being first to have a shared universe of superheroes in the comics with their Fire vs Water (Human Torch vs the Sub-mariner) issue in 1940. But DC was the first to have a shared universe of superheroes in radio, TV, and movies.
