What? Haven't you heard? Everything the DCEU does is great! Because of OH, THE EDGE! MELLO MUST BE ABLE TO CUT HIMSELF WITH IT BEFORE HE IS SATISFIED! But everything the MCU does, with its sense of adventure, its use of color, keeping characters in-character, and actually allowing audiences to talk out not feeling depressed? That's ALL wrong! Everything the MCU does is wrong, man! I mean, who wants to have fun at a superhero movie? We gotta make everything symbolic of Christ getting crucified, make sure all the colors are dark and muted, and everyone has to scowl, grunt, and wallow in self-pity for the ENTIRE THREE HOUR running time! Who has time for conversational dialogue and the occasional joke when you can have everyone stand in awe at how IMPORTANT EVERYTHING IS! THIS IS IMPORTANT, DAMN IT! STARE AT THE PERMANENTLY CLOUDED OVER DARK SKIES AND SOAK IN HOW IMPORTANT THIS ALL THIS! What you just said about the MCU is one of the reasons why I love the MCU, and the reason I'm not a fan of the DCEU. When I saw Wonder Wonder I was surprised to see how colorful it was. Like Patty Jenkins used a different color palette or something, plus the characters in WW didn't broot and mope, they actually emoted. Yeah, Wonder Woman as of right now is the only standout in the DCEU, and it will probably stay that way. They probably won't learn the right lessons from it apart from "PEOPLE LIKE WONDER WOMAN! Put her in everything!"
