Peter Quill got angry over one of his mother's most precious gifts to him getting smashed right in front of him. You know, that thing he's held onto and figured out how to repair and maintain despite being innumerable light years from Earth? That thing that helps him keep his memory of his mother alive via their shared love of old songs? His anger over Ego heartless breaking that in front of him made the film go down in your eyes? Seriously?
