It wasn't as fresh as the original, but it was a great follow-up sequel. Kurt Russell, Michael Rooker, the chemistry of the cast, the added development of Gamora and Nebula's relationship, and the visual effects were the film's greatest highlights. A big detractor, as mentioned, was Ego revealing he killed Meredith Quill, and I personally felt the comedy was a bit forced. Drax's sex jokes were just too much. The soundtrack wasn't quite at the level of the first film's soundtrack, but I appreciated listening to new songs like "Brandy" and "Sham Bam".
