Well..... technically she passed away 20 years ago. I'm not saying there's no value in the walkman, just that the line felt more like a button. Yeah, but Quill is still a psychological mess and very emotionally stunted for his age. Does time really heal a traumatic night like the one his mom died on? He's had no professional help to get over losing his mom and being abducted all on the same night and has had to just make due with whatever ways he can comfort himself, and those comforts include the walkman. *sigh* i understand the point of the walkman, i just thought it was unnecessary and somewhat emotionally deflated that moment, undercut it a bit. |
