Speaking of that massive female audience. Has anyone seen a break down of the theater audience for Wonder Woman between male and female and also a comparison to the same data for other superhero movies? If you have a link to that info, I would be interested to see it.
I read a breakdown several weeks ago. The audience for most superhero movies is usually about 62% males to 38% females. Wonder Woman is the first superhero movie with an audience in which females outnumbered males (52% to 48%). Wonder Woman also had a large percentage from older viewers. Those 2 groups (female viewers and older viewers) usually don't watch superhero movies, but they turned out in large numbers to watch Wonder Woman, which is a big reason why Wonder Woman exceeded all projections and became the #1 movie of the summer.
