why that? I for one believe in redemption and second chances. Patty Jenkins came from MCU mediocrity and created a hailed genre milestone; as with this precedent same may likely happen with Wheedon and others creatives frustrated with the lack of creative energy at Marvel Studios.
Needless to say, Dr Strange was a bland formula mediocrity recycling the same jerk-in-crisis-becomes-superman-and-nice-guy as seen with IM; Thor, Antmen etc before, and was throwing in dated pop references and random kiddy jokes. An embarrassment. There is hope this writer can do good now.
Or the director. If they really go with Espinosa but use this guy as the screenwriter, it'd probably have a better chance. I didn't like anything by Scott Derrickson before Doctor Strange and whatever they did to turn the "on" switch, it worked.
