why that? I for one believe in redemption and second chances. Patty Jenkins came from MCU mediocrity and created a hailed genre milestone; as with this precedent same may likely happen with Wheedon and others creatives frustrated with the lack of creative energy at Marvel Studios.
Needless to say, Dr Strange was a bland formula mediocrity recycling the same jerk-in-crisis-becomes-superman-and-nice-guy as seen with IM; Thor, Antmen etc before, and was throwing in dated pop references and random kiddy jokes. An embarrassment. There is hope this writer can do good now.
Good point and looking at his previous work at least he is a Horror director so we will have a Director who is experienced in the Horror genre making a Horror movie over somebody that has never made a Horror movie before. I am looking forward to seeing Zatanna and Swamp Thing. Did you see the old 'Swamp Thing' movies or Zatanna in 'Smallville?' Something that might interest you if you are a Zatanna fan was a collection of Zatanna by Paul Dini came out on Amazon earlier this year. I pre-ordered it the same time I got 'Batgirl: A Celebration of 50 Years', 'Batgirl: Stephanie Brown Vol. 1' (which just arrived in the mail today), 'Red Sonja: Worlds Away: Vol 1' and 'Raven.' I am now waiting for 'Supergirl Book Three' by Peter David which is one of my favourite comic book series of all time and 'Happy' by Grant Morrison which has a new TV series starting on the Syfy Channel later this year. www.amazon.com/Zatanna-Paul-Dini/dp/140126882X/ref=tmm_pap_swatch_0?_encoding=UTF8&qid=1504185055&sr=1-1
