Plus, doesn't WB like to keep their directors "In-House"? This situation is weird all around.
Well Ben sticking around as Batman is still possible since actors are needed for roughly 3 months, so he could do Batman and then just focus on this film.
Not saying that's what'll happen, since there are other factors.
Regarding the WB in house thing..... well remember that WB is focusing mainly on franchises as of late, meaning they're not producing as many other type of films.
