Bolder font and the views are bigger.
I think they are slowly trying to make it more like NETFLIX and HULU.
I don't really mind the layout, but there's certain "improvements" that I'm not comfortable with. First, when expanding the video (theater mode), I notice the control bar extends all the way across the page. I liked it when it was the actual size of what I was watching. If I want to replay it, then I have to set my cursor all the way to the left of the window. Save that shtick for full screen mode.
I hate that they now round the views. I used to love seeing the little numbers underneath the thumbnail. For example, if a video has 10,133 views, then there's no way of telling the last three unless you click on it. I think they also did the same with the amount of subscribers a while back and, most recently, the thumbs up/down.
I suppose a few other things would be them not showing the amount of likes/dislikes before watching a video. When they had the 5-star rating system, it used to tell whether people thought it was worth watching or if they hated it.
The last thing would be that auto play button being on when I clear the browser history. Every time I do that, I have to remind myself to turn the damn thing off because I like to read or leave a comment after a video.
YouTube hit its peak when you had two of the most voted comments on top. This was also before they implemented having to convert your YouTube account into Google for their services.
They should honestly consider listening to their audience. I did complain about the above, but I highly doubt anything will come of it.
