This movie is one of my favorites, although I believe that Debbie Reynolds was much better in later films, especially in HOW THE WEST WAS WON. She had a definite talent for comedy, which was glossed over in SITR, except for her first scene in her car, which really could have been funnier if she was given more of a chance. The best performance was from Jean Hagen as Lina, and I think she was robbed of the Oscar for Best Supporting Actress. I never stop being amazed at how you manage to turn even your own shouted threads into a negative reading experience. This is a WONDEROUS and joy filled movie with terrific performances by one and all , fantastic musical numbers, happy and sad moments. Case closed. Why rain on the parade with "shudda, wudda, cudda, " ? F'chrissakes, Bat OuttaHeck, what the hell is wrong with you?? Can't I be critical of a movie or actor without the likes of YOU jumping down my throat? So we don't always agree; too bad, so sad! This is still America (despite Trump), not North Korea, and I am entitled to my opinions, and to express them, whether you like it or not!!
