I'm just saying that throughout the entirety of civilization, the moment people start thinking, the majority have belief.
It is certainly true that a belief in magic and the transcendental is common to humanity. But not a belief in any particular variety, especially not before the impulsions of one's particular culture and family, which was as I said.
Atheism thrives in societies that champion it. It's equally about influence from the time we stop being babies who only know a couple of things.
Atheism thrives more in societies with the best education, among the best educated. (As opposed to being forced on populations by the state). That is not to say that I am making an equation between intelligence and education, though.
