It is. Man can see beyond just what his eyes tell him what is before him... He can dream. He can imagine. He will create an explanation when one isn't provided... and even cling to those machinations to various degrees when reality eventually provides an explanation. I'm not denying anything. History speaks this to be true. Saying that Man doesn't do this because "Well, I'm an atheist" is the denial. Wishing it to be not comparable doesn't make it not comparable. Pacifists might not have a "violent bone in their body"... That doesn't change humanity. You might not have a religious nature... but that doesn't stop Humanity from having one. Hell.... Your weird adamant denial seems almost religious in nature. Like it threatens your belief (or the lack thereof) because Man is a superstitious creature. Also... I would argue that your non-religious nature exists mostly because your life has remained relatively stagnant (not meant as an insult of any kind). and predictable. Throw your world existence into some turmoil... Say a comet hitting the earth... and I bet you'll have a few "religious" thoughts pop into that head.
