Thanks, Bat. I'm a great fan of Ichabod and Mr. Toad as well--still remember the first time I saw it (wow! That Horseman--in a Disney movie!).
If I may make a suggestion, you may like Sleepy Hollow and Ghostwatch (my other two choices for this poll, for the moment). The latter achieves what I think The Haunting tried and--though this is an idiosyncratic opinion--failed to achieve: the terror of suggestion and, more than that, the terror that anything can happen even in the most normal situations (à la Hitchcock, in a way). I think it's my favorite ghost/haunting movie of them all, to be honest.
