Can a person have a reason, based on prior knowledge, experience, or study for having faith IN ANYTHING... NOT SPECICALLY JUST "RELIGIOUS" FAITH?
They can have "faith" in the basic "trust/confidence" sense, yes. But earlier your definition of faith was "complete trust/confidence." So, again, two distinct meanings being discussed here.
