Yeah, all they say is that Warner Brothers simply DISTRIBUTES Alcon's films, which explains why Villeneuve described the film as the most expensive R-rated independent film.

Wrong. Warner Bros provides production money. That is how distribution works. They make a production agreement with the distributor and get money from them for the production. The only difference is, Warner is not the primary production company--but they still can make demands on content. As I have said-these companies are not poor. They can write off a dozen big budget movies easily due to their other media holdings. The idea that they make what the public wants or have to keep a pulse on public tastes is as ludicrous as saying that politicians serve the interest of the public and not donors. But I am sure you will enjoy the movie so my congratulations. Yeah, tell that to 'Star Wars' prequel trilogy...
