That's a brilliant idea, never heard that before.
Would obviously make it a lot more complicated for the ref and there are a few details that need to be worked out, but that should definitely be done! A situation I particularly hate is when a team is about to break on the half way line, and they have them outnumbered say 4 v 2, and a defender or winger or someone takes the attacking player out to stop the play, they pick up a yellow card, but they get to put everyone back for the resulting freekick and the danger is passed. The penalties in those situations need to be a lot more severe. They call it "taking one for the team", but I prefer to call it by its proper name; cheating.
