it's possible, has some visual similarities to Ghost in the Shell (which took influences from Blade Runner 
) which may turn people off, also it's a sequel to film most cinephiles either love or respect, but one that general audience doesn't give a flying f- about or even know. so all you can do is hope that the trailers had enough visual beauty and were cut well enough for the average joe schmoe to say "you know....... I wanna check that out"
