As I commented in another thread, even Netflix' selection of current, mainstream movies available for streaming sucks. Well over 80% of newly-released blockbusters are only available only on DVD, not on streaming. And even recent series like X Men are not available on streaming.
The streaming line-up is very similar to what's available on a channel like HBO in a given month. Ideally streaming would be a library of every film that still exists. Blame the rights-holders for that not being the case.
