I didn't get all the praise for the book, it's just your typical ScandiCrime with very little to distinguish it from similar thrillers. Add to this that I'm not exactly a huge fan of the director's previous work - Tinker, Tailor... might be the most tedious movie I ever had to endure in a theatre. And yet, I would love to be positively surprised.
One thing I'm actually curious about is: Did they keep the plot structure of the book? In the novel the killer's identity is given away around the middle and there is a large part that is told from his point of view. The trailer gave me the impression that the film would be more of a classic whodunit with the surprise kept for the end.
