I'd rate the supporting characters about equal, or maybe give the edge to Breaking Bad, with supporting characters like Tuco (who was also in BCS, briefly, of course), Fring, Badger, Jane, and others. Of course, BB had more time to add those characters, Better Call Saul is still early in its run. (I hope.)

It's also good to hear from someone who also likes the more relaxed pace of BCS. It was a tense issue on the IMDb boards.
