It's just that he stated Pearl Harbor wasn't a big deal.
You said we were still complaining (whining) about it. I said the folks who lived through WWII (your whiners) and had a reason to be angry about it are all but gone. There is no animosity toward Japan these days over of Pearl Harbor.
My point is that it clearly was ( and still is )
As is the Revolutionary War, The Civil War, 9/11 ... etc.
